El Dr. Nicolás Pérez es actualmente el Profesor y Director del Departamento de Otorrinolaringología de la Clínica Universidad de Navarra y la Universidad de Navarra Facultad de Medicina en Pamplona, Navarra (España), donde enseña a los estudiantes de medicina, investigadores postdoctorales y los especialistas ENT.
Recibió su licenciatura en 1985 y su doctorado en 1997, ambos de la Universidad de Navarra. El Dr. Pérez terminó su educación media en el Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary de la Universidad de Harvard en Boston en 1986 y en la Johns Hopkins Medical School en 1996.
Él es un miembro de la Sociedad Española de ORL, donde ha ocupado el cargo de presidente del Comité de Otoneurología de la Sociedad Barany, de la Asociación para la Investigación en Otorrinolaringología donde se ha desempeñado como miembro del Comité Internacional. Él también es miembro Fellow de la Sociedad de neurología de América y miembro del Collegium Oto-Rhino-Laryngologicum Amicitiae Sacro (CORLAS).
La investigación del Dr. Pérez en trastornos vestibulares comenzó hace 20 años y ha dado lugar a varios artículos en revistas especializadas, libros en pruebas vestibulares y en la enfermedad de Meniere, en particular. Cuenta con una experiencia de solicitud de subvención como investigador principal y de colaboración, y de hecho se dedica a tres ensayos clínicos.
A lo largo de su carrera, ha guiado a más de 20 especialistas ENT y posgraduadosde España y otros países.

Dr. Nicolás Pérez is currently the Professor and Chairman of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Clinica Universidad de Navarra and University of Navarra Medical School in Pamplona, Navarra (Spain) where he teaches for the medical students, postdocs and ENT specialists.
He received his graduate degree in 1985 and his Ph.D. in 1997, both from the University of Navarra. Dr. Pérez completed his medial education at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard University in Boston in 1986 and at Johns Hopkins Medical School in 1996.
He is a member of the Spanish ENT Society where he has held the position of president of the Otoneurology Committee member of the Barany Society, of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology where he has served as member of the International Committee. He is also a Fellow member of the American Neurotology Society and member of the Collegium Oto-Rhino-Laryngologicum Amicitiae Sacrum (CORLAS).
Dr. Pérez’s research on vestibular disorders began 20 years ago and has led to several papers in peer-reviewed journals, books on vestibular tests and on Meniere’s disease in particular. He has grant application experience as principal researcher and collaborative, and actually is engaged in three clinical essays.
Over the course of his career, he has mentored more than 20 ENT specialists and postdocs from Spain and other countries.
